Our final concert of the 2023/2024 season was held in the open-air atrium of the University Hospital for Tumors. The concert was a gift from the guitar Trio Evocación. This intimate concert, set in the beautiful atmosphere of the atrium, certainly closed the season in a worthy manner. We look forward to the new season in autumn!

Program:

Isaac Albéniz: Aragón, Evocación, and Triana (arr. Darko Petrinjak)

Krešimir Klarić: Triptych

Manuel de Falla: The Miller's Dance (Farruca) from the ballet The Three-Cornered Hat (arr. Darko Petrinjak)

Biography:

Trio Evocación was founded in 2016 in Zagreb and consists of award-winning young Croatian guitarists Luka Lovreković, Lovro Peretić, and Ivan Šimatović. They began their collaboration during their studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb and have since performed numerous concerts and appeared at significant events in Croatia and abroad. They have participated in various music competitions for chamber ensembles, where they regularly won top prizes. Among the awards they have received, the most significant include the 1st prize at the "Paola Ruminelli" competition in Domodossola (Italy), the 1st prize at the Boris Papandopulo competition in Zagreb, the 1st prize at the "Enrico Mercatali" competition in Gorizia (Italy), the 1st prize at the "Ehat Musa" competition in Peja (Kosovo), and the 1st prize at the competition as part of the Guitar Festival in Poreč. In addition to their independent work as a trio, they also collaborate with other musicians in extended musical ensembles. They have given concerts with violinist Katarina Kutnar and soprano Lana Maletić. As a result of their victory at the "Paola Ruminelli" competition, the trio recorded their first album, named Evocación, for the dotGuitar label, which was released in March 2020.

I like how Arinotech positions itself as both innovative and reliable—it’s not easy to balance those two. Their focus on client-specific solutions really caught my attention.
