Filip Mišković, a final year guitar student at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, will be presenting our first concert!

Biography:

Filip Mišković has won over 40 first prizes in guitar competitions both domestically and internationally in junior, senior, and open-age categories ("Anna Amalia" in Weimar, "Alexis Rago" in Stuttgart, "Anders Segovia" in Monheim on the Rhine, "Enrico Mercatali" in Gorizia, "Poreč fest," "Zagreb Guitar Festival," notably achieving 2nd place at the GFA in Miami in 2019). Noteworthy is his 1st place at the 11th Croatian Competition of Young Musical Artists Papandopulo. The Ministry of Science, Education, and Sports awarded him seven "Knowledge Oscars" for outstanding results and first-place achievements at the national level.


He furthered his skills in masterclasses under the guidance of notable figures in the international guitar scene (Zoran Dukić, Marcin Dylla, Petrit Çeku, Judicaël Perroy, Aniello Desiderio, Denis Azabagić, Paolo Pegoraro, Anders Miolin, Costas Cotsiolis, and others).


Filip regularly holds solo concerts in Croatia and abroad. As a soloist, he has performed with the "I Giovani solisti" orchestra from the United States under the direction of maestro Emmet Drake and with the orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre Split under maestro Gianne Fratt.


Filip was awarded the Splitski pupoljak prize in 2019, the Rector's Award in 2020, and in 2021, he became a member of "EuroStrings Artist" as one of the most significant EU platforms for young guitarists.


He began his elementary education under the guidance of Professor Vicko Novak, continuing his studies under Professor Maroje Brčić. He is currently a student at the Music Academy in Zagreb under the mentorship of Professor Darko Petrinjak.


Filip Mišković plays a guitar crafted by the French luthier Jean-Noël Rohé.
