Euterpa biography:
The "Euterpa" choir is a mixed choir based in Zagreb that began its activities in 2022. It was founded by the eponymous Artistic Organization "Euterpa" and Marija Anđela Biondić, a Master of Music Education and a second-year conducting student at the Music Academy in Zagreb, who also serves as the artistic director of the choir. The "Euterpa" choir performs a diverse repertoire of sacred and secular art music (including pieces by Debussy, Pärt, Rachmaninoff, Klarić, Lisinski, Gotovac, Faure), striving to include compositions by contemporary and young Croatian composers in its programs. The choir has established concert collaborations with several young soloists such as the soprano Marko Antolković and chamber ensembles.
The first concert of "Euterpa," titled "Euterpa's Awakening," took place in May 2022, symbolizing the choir's beginning. In the same year, "Euterpa's" concert performances continued on the island of Brač with a concert titled "Euterpa's Reverie" in August, and in September of the same year in Lonjica at an opera evening named "Under the Starry Sky," in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of Culture "DUD."
